Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Jack Hicks will give a presentation on “2021 Design Patent Year in Review: Trends and Analysis” to the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology. Hicks will be joined by Sterne Kessler’s Mechanical & Design Practice Group Director Tracy Durkin in giving the virtual presentation.
Their presentation will review developments in:
- The U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB);
- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit;
- The U.S. International Trade Commission; and
- International design law.
For over 25 years, the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology (BCLT) has been the focal point at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law for teaching, research, conferences, and student activities on issues at the intersection of law and technology. Hicks and Durkin’s presentation is part of the BCLT’s observation of IP + Tech Month.
