NEW YORK—Womble Bond Dickinson trademark attorney Laura Kees represented the firm at the Business of Brands Conference—and met a fashion industry icon in the process.

Stuart Weitzman served as keynote speaker for the event. Weitzman is one of the most recognizable names in footwear and his award-winning shoes are worn by stylish women around the globe, including celebrities both on and off the red carpet. He discussed his successful entrepreneur developed his footwear business and how his vision and insights made him one of the fashion world’s most recognizable names and brands.

The Business of Brands Conference was presented by the International Trademark Association and took place March 28-29 in New York. The Business of Brands Conference took the discussion beyond trademarks to focus on brands from a business perspective. More than 300 trademark industry professionals attended the event.
