TYSONS, VA. - Government contracting industry leaders and executives recently gathered in Tysons for the 3rd Annual GovCon Summit and Recognize DC Awards —and Womble Bond Dickinson played an active role in the industry-leading event.

Attorneys Gary Campbell and Dean Rutley both took part in panel discussions as part of the summit, which attracted nearly 200 professionals from the government contracting sector. In addition to Campbell and Rutley, Womble Bond Dickinson Client Services Director Cameron Hunt represented the firm at the summit. Womble Bond Dickinson was a sponsor of the event.

Rutley took part in a summit-opening panel discussion on “Best Practices in Creating Deal Value in the GovCon M&A Market”. He was joined in the conversation by NetCentrics CEO Cynthia Barreda, Altamira Technologies President Jonathan Moneymaker, and Enlightenment Capital Partner Jason Rigoli. SC&H Group Director Pete Ragone moderated the panel discussion.

In the second session of the day, also moderated by Ragone, Campbell discussed “Current Trends in Government Contracting”. He was joined in this panel discussion by Centauri President & Chief Operating Officer Dennis Kelly, Deep Water Point Consulting Partner Mike Mullen, and Blue Delta Capital Partners General Partner Kevin Robbins.

The evening closed with the presentation of the RecognizeDC Awards, honoring the region’s impactful, innovative and visionary government contractors, as well as government contractors who are dedicated to supporting the US military.

The 3rd Annual GovCon Summit and Recognize DC Awards took place Oct. 17 in the Boro Tower in Tysons, which also is the new home of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Northern Virginia office.
