Diana Quarry and Patrick Strubbe Lead Discussion on Negotiation and Advocacy at CREW Charlotte Leadership Program

CHARLOTTE, NC – Womble Bond Dickinson partners Diana Quarry and Patrick Strubbe were recently session speakers at 2019 Authentic Leadership Program , a women’s leadership program coordinated by Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network of Charlotte with support from KPMG, Northeastern University and ATHENA International. The program is structured around the ATHENA Leadership Model and its eight principles – living authentically, learning constantly, advocating fiercely, acting courageously, fostering collaboration, building relationships, giving back and celebrating. Quarry and Strubbe presented on “Negotiation Tips, Tricks and Tactics”, pulling from their extensive experience negotiating transactions in real estate, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. In this session, Quarry and Strubbe shared how to effectively negotiate and navigate both personally and professionally, while advocating effectively for others. Specific discussion topics included:
Following their presentation, attendees took part in self-directed learning and problem-solving activities. Quarry and Strubbe also performed mock negotiations, presenting both male and female perspectives of various types of negotiations to the all-female audience.
