BOSTON—Womble Bond Dickinson has strengthened its already robust Boston-based Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sector Team with the addition of attorney Dominic Yee, Ph.D.
Yee focuses his practice on global patent portfolio development and management for the pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences industries. In addition, he guides clients in IP issues related to mergers and acquisitions, secured lending transactions, development agreements, technology licensing and other corporate transactions.
Yee has a research background in chemistry and biochemistry, having earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University. Before law school, he worked with Nobel laureate Roger Tsien on nanoparticle conjugates for detecting and delivering drugs to disease sites. He also spent more than three years as a formulation development scientist for a Boston-area pharmaceutical company.
“Dominic is an outstanding addition for our life sciences and pharmaceutical clients. He has both the legal experience and the real-world R&D background to serve our clients in this sector,” said Sarah Keefe, Managing Partner of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Boston office.
Yee currently serves as co-chair of the Chemical Practices Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association. He comes to Womble Bond Dickinson from Jones Day’s Boston office.
