Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Allen Gibson spoke at the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law 2022 Summer Conference.

Gibson took part in a panel discussion titled, “Alternative Dispute Resolution: Techniques for Effective Settlement.” The panelists discussed best practices for obtaining favorable settlement during alternative dispute resolution, including selecting the right neutral, pre-mediation negotiations, and effective negotiation tactics during mediation.

He was joined in the panel discussion by attorneys Robert Meynardie of Meynardie & Nanney, PLLC and Shannon J. Briglia of Smith, Currie & Hancock, LLP.

The theme of this year’s Forum on Construction Law Summer Conference was “The Art of Negotiation.” The event took place July 27-28 in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

Gibson is the former Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law and served a term as President of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He also is an active mediator and arbitrator of construction disputes and has provided these services for many parties throughout the country.
