Womble Bond Dickinson’s Transatlantic Lawyer Network (TLN) brings together small groups of associates from the US and UK offices for immersive sessions designed to foster unity and provide opportunities to explore global client issues. As part of this initiative, the firm’s Global Board hosted a two-day workshop on Feb. 7-9 focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions. This introductory workshop followed a panel-based format, leaning on the experience of seasoned partners who brought a wealth of cross-border transactional experience.

Sample topics included:

  • Cross-Border Challenges: This session addressed the key differences in transaction types and practices in various regions of the world, including recent M&A trends and specific transaction techniques.

  • Business Development for M&A: This interactive session addressed the market environment and how associates can contribute effectively to developing value-add relationships with clients regarding mergers and acquisitions.
