Womble Bond Dickinson Partners Rodney Miller, Tara Cho and Toni Peck recently spoke at the Driving Diversity in Law and Leadership Summit in Atlanta on September 13th, and the firm was a sponsor of the event.
Miller spoke on a panel titled “Code-Switching: Shifting the Way We Communicate and Present Ourselves in the Workplace” which explored what leaders can do to create a culture of belonging that allows employees to be their authentic selves in the workplace. He was joined by moderator Katherine Dunn of Aptean, LaChandra Pye of ABB Inc., Shiriki Jones of Coyote Logistics, and Timia Skelton of Shook, Hardy & Bacon.
Cho and Peck led a roundtable titled “The Power (and Potential Pitfalls) of Affinity Groups: Sharing Lessons Learned.” Cho co-chairs the firm’s LGBTQIA+ Pride and Asian Pacific American affinity groups and is an active member of the firm’s Diversity Steering Committee.
The Driving Diversity in Law and Leadership Summit is dedicated to exploring and brainstorming solutions to DEI issues within the legal sector by creating a platform for leaders and stakeholders to exchange ideas, network, and learn latest trends and best practices to driving diversity.
