WASHINGTON, DC—Once again, Womble Bond Dickinson was a proud participant in the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, Inc. (CLEO) EDGE Honors Reception . The event took place Nov. 7 in Washington, DC, and firm Partner Pam Rothenberg, who serves on the CLEO Board of Directors, represented Womble Bond Dickinson at the reception.

Last year, Womble Bond Dickinson was an inaugural recipient of the CLEO EDGE Greater Equality Award, given to individuals and organizations that have championed increased access to opportunity for all Americans. The CLEO EDGE Awards recognize contributions to CLEO’s three main pillars: Education, Diversity and Greater Equality.

Nine more individuals and organizations were awarded the CLEO EDGE Greater Equality Award this year. In addition, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick received the EDGE Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. Heritage Award, which was presented by Mr. Jordan himself.

Womble Bond Dickinson was a sponsor of the 2019 CLEO EDGE Honors Reception.

Founded in 1968, CLEO is devoted to diversifying the legal profession by expanding legal education opportunities for persons from traditionally under-represented racial and ethnic groups, low-income, and disadvantaged communities.
