Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Cherylyn Harley LeBon has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Capital Business Development Association (CBDA).

The CBDA is a not-for-profit organization that supports small, medium, and large-sized businesses in the government contracting sector in identifying opportunities, winning them, and executing work in the federal, state, and local markets. The organization’s membership includes more than 2,000 government contractors, service-providers, and system integrators.

LeBon has more than 25 years of experience guiding companies in government contracting and corporate matters. A former Presidential appointee at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), she leads clients through every stage of the federal procurement process. 

Her government contracting experience includes advising clients in regulatory compliance, structuring joint venture agreements, counseling on the Mentor-Protégé program, teaming agreements, contract interpretation and performance counseling, negotiation of Requests for Equitable Adjustment, resolution of subcontractor disputes, contract terminations, suspension and debarment, and advising on small business procurement programs in various federal agencies.
