WASHINGTON, DC—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Carri Bennet served as a panelist in the Security Vulnerabilities Within Our Communications Networks: Find It, Fix It, Fund It Stakeholder Workshop, which was hosted and moderated by FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks on June 27.

The three-panel workshop sought to define the scope of potential communications equipment security threats; ways to fix identified security problems; and how best to fund equipment replacement and threat mitigation. Bennet spoke on these issues on behalf of the Rural Wireless Association.

Bennet participated on the “Fix It” panel with Bill Chotiner, Director, Radio Access Network Evolution, Ericsson, Travis Russell, Director of Cybersecurity, Oracle Communications, and Dileep Srihari, Senior Policy Counsel and Acting Head of Government Affairs, Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).
