Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Pete Bromaghim was a speaker at the California Lawyers Association’s The Trademark Office Comes to California program

Bromaghim spoke in a session titled “Tips for Effective Searching of Databases” and was joined in the presentation by Jason Lott, Managing Attorney for Trademarks Customer Outreach at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They spoke about choice of search forms, use of quotes and other characters, truncation of characters and other points related to searching for a mark.

The CLA’s The Trademark Office Comes to California program featured informational and listening sessions with a number of USPTO officials, including a keynote address by Commissioner for Trademarks David Gooder.

Bromaghim’s practice focuses on all aspects of trademark law, in addition to copyright, domain name, and related intellectual property matters. He has extensive experience in trademark selection, clearance, and portfolio strategies. He oversees the prosecution of trademark applications domestically and internationally, and heads up global enforcement matters involving many famous marks. He also handles many opposition and cancellation matters before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and assists with federal trademark litigation.
