Nashville Team Takes Part in Law Day Event
Apr 24 2026
Womble Bond Dickinson’s Nashville attorneys joined Nashville Bar Association President Sherie Edwards and Keynote Speaker Alberto Gonzales, Dean and Doyle Rogers Distinguished Professor of Law, at the Law Day program held at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville on April 23. The event drew more than 300 attorneys in recognition of the American Bar Association’s 2026 Law Day theme. Womble was recognized as a Gold Sponsor for the event.
Gonzales delivered the keynote address on “The Rule of Law and the American Dream,” reflecting on the foundational principle that no person is above the law. Law Day was officially established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 to celebrate the rule of law in a free society—a tradition that continues to encourage Americans to consider how the rule of law protects individual rights and supports every person’s ability to pursue their aspirations.
Fun Fact: Womble attorneys play an active role in the Nashville Bar Association. Bill Ramsey serves as an Editor of the Nashville Bar Journal; Callie Hinson serves on the Board of Directors; Nathan Sanders serves as the Co-Committee Chair for the Appellate Practice Group; and Satchel Fowler was recognized this year as a member of the Nashville Bar Foundation’s Leadership Class.
