Womble Bond Dickinson will chair the Lex Mundi North American Regional Conference. The event takes place October 30-November 1 in Charlotte, N.C.

In addition to chairing the gathering of attorneys from across North America, Womble Partners Taber Cathcart, Elizabeth Lee, and Charlie Reid will take part in a panel discussion on “Trends in Cross Border Finance Transactions – Syndications, ESG and Secured Lending Developments”. Also, Womble Chief Recruiting Officer Lori Patton will speak on “Talent Acquisition and Retention”. Womble partner Phil Mohr will host a meeting of the Lex Mundi Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group during the conference.

Other program topics will include:

  • Global Outlook & Forecast: Joshua Bailey, Principal Global Economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit, will examine trends that will define the global economic landscape in 2025, and potential policy shifts depending on the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.
  • Financial Services: Attendees will learn why Charlotte is an important banking hub. This session also will focus on challenges for the banking sector given regulatory scrutiny.
  • Nearshoring Opportunities: Speakers will explore trade relations between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This session also will examine which industries are focusing on nearshoring, and opportunities and pitfalls in nearshoring.
  • Lex Mundi Strategy: Lex Mundi officials will the vision and strategic programs that will shape the organization’s initiatives and offerings over the next three years.
