Womble Bond Dickinson partner Tyler Bridegan spoke on May 21 at the University of Texas School of Law’s 39th Annual Technology Law Conference in Austin, Texas, where he served as a panelist for a session on privacy enforcement.

During the session, Tyler and co-panelist Elizabeth Rogers (Winstead PC) examined key developments in privacy enforcement over the past decade. Their discussion looked at how the privacy landscape has evolved since the passage of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), alongside the rise of state consumer data protection laws across the United States, including in Texas. The panel also highlighted enforcement trends, the work of the Consortium of Privacy Regulators, and the FTC’s collaboration with state regulators, offering practical insight into current state and federal priorities and common compliance risks.
