Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Paul Afonso is the newest Strategic Advisory Board Member for Mainspring Energy.

Afonso is a nationally recognized regulatory and energy lawyer with 30 years of experience serving as a trusted advisor and counselor to boards of directors, C-Suite, and management teams across several regulated industries, managing the complex intersection of regulatory, legislative, and political issues. 

He also serves as Chairman of WBD Strategies, a full-service government and public affairs firm located in Boston that provides government relations and policy solutions to clients who deal with government in heavily regulated industries. WBD Strategies helps clients achieve their business objectives while navigating the political, regulatory, and policy process to deliver concrete results
