Womble Bond Dickinson partner Tyler Bridegan has been appointed Vice Chair of Privacy and Information Security for the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section. His 2026-2027 term begins in August 2026.

In this leadership role, Tyler will help set and advance committee or task force goals, strengthen Section membership and engagement, support Section events when possible and mentor new members.

Tyler advises companies on privacy, cybersecurity and technology matters, helping clients develop practical, risk-based compliance strategies and respond to government investigations and litigation. Drawing on his experience as former Director of Privacy and Technology Enforcement for the Texas Attorney General’s Office and Acting Legal Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission, Tyler counsels clients on federal and state consumer protection laws, privacy regimes and regulatory enforcement issues. He is a Registered Practitioner under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and holds multiple International Association of Privacy Professionals certifications, including CIPP/US, CIPM and CIPP/E.
