CHARLESTON, S.C.—The annual Womble Bond Dickinson South Carolina Economic Development Summit is scheduled for Friday, May 25 and once again, organizers have lined up an outstanding program of speakers and activities.

This year’s agenda includes such discussion as:

  •  “An Economic Powerhouse - The Visitor Industry in South Carolina” by Duane Parrish, Director of the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism.
  •  “Deep Dive / Incentive Roundtable” by Cynthia S. Turnipseed of the South Carolina Department of Commerce and Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys John Hunter, Graeme Philp and Stephanie Yarbrough.
  • “The Life Sciences Industry in South Carolina” by SCBIO President and CEO Sam Konduros, President and CEO and Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation President and CEO Lou Kennedy.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to take place in two lively roundtable discussions: “A View from the Consultants” with Benton C. Blaine, Manager of Location Investment Services at Ernst & Young; and “Promoting and Protecting South Carolina's Wildlife and Wild Places” with South Carolina Aquarium President and CEO Kevin Mills.

The CLE event takes place from 10 a.m.-2:15 p.m. at the Daniel Island Club, 600 Island Park Drive in Charleston. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. 

The Womble Womble Bond Dickinson South Carolina Economic Development Summit is free to attend, but space is limited.
