Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Cynthia Spieth Morton recently was honored as the winner of the 2022 CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Charleston Icon Award.

According to CREW Charleston, “the CREW Charleston Icon Award recognizes a CREW Charleston member who has made a significant, lasting impact on CREW Charleston and in her career. The nominee consistently goes above and beyond to promote CREW Charleston. She also is recognized as an influential woman in her industry. She is an advisor and mentor. Her successes can be seen in the lasting impact she leaves on the CREW Charleston chapter and those who have had the privilege to work alongside her.”

For more than 20 years, Morton has represented clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and development matters, including leases, purchases, sales, and borrowing. As counsel for developers, owners, and lenders, she has been involved in many multi-million dollar commercial real estate development projects in South Carolina both as lead counsel and as local counsel for out-of-state lenders and borrowers.

Morton was a founding member of CREW Charleston in 2009 and served as the organization’s President in 2013. She also has served on CREW Charleston Board of Directors and Advisory Committee.

She was honored at CREW Charleston’s annual Awards Gala on Nov. 5.
