On October 15, Dr. Chris Mammen, Managing Partner of Womble Bond Dickinson’s San Francisco office, will speak at a two-part Oxford University seminar.

The first part will address “AI, Creativity, and the IP Law Requirement that Authors and Inventors Must Be Human”. Then, Mammen will also speak on, “Perspectives from San Francisco and Silicon Valley on Startups and University Spin-Outs”.

Chris Mammen (1993, DPhil (Oxon), Law) has litigated numerous AI-related patent and copyright cases over the past ten years and has a broad interest in the theoretical and ethical implications of AI. Mammen has lectured worldwide and has been quoted in numerous prominent media outlets. He advises the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology and the Silicon Valley Advanced Patent Law Institute. Mammen is a co-founder of the Oxford Entrepreneurs Network and a limited partner in Oxonian Ventures.
