Womble Bond Dickinson was honored with three awards at the Safe Alliance 2025 Pro Bono Legal Awards.

Alex Buckley received the 2025 Pro Bono Individual award for Commitment to Justice. Mark Henriques took home the 2025 Pro Bono Individual award for Outstanding Commitment to Justice. And Womble Bond Dickinson as a firm was honored with the 2025 Pro Bono award for Commitment to Justice Award Partner.

The Commitment to Justice Award (Partners) honors firms and companies who through two or more volunteers have provided invaluable direct client support and regularly volunteered to assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with their legal needs.

Safe Alliance is a Mecklenburg County (Charlotte, N.C.) non-profit whose mission is to provide hope and healing for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. They believe that everyone has the right to build a violence-free life for themselves and their children. Serving over 8,000 people annually, their services include the 24/7 Greater Charlotte Hope Line, an 80-bed emergency shelter, legal support and advocacy, trauma counseling, and assistance with basic needs support.
