WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Victoria Alvarez is one of only 20 attorneys nationwide to be selected for the 2018-19 American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice (TIPS) Leadership Academy. She was chosen in her first year of eligibility.
The TIPS Leadership Academy serves the public by providing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a vision to lead the legal profession and to improve leadership service in the community as a whole. The TIPS Leadership Academy meets during the four annual TIPS Leadership Meetings, with each meeting focusing on specific program topics.
Alvarez recently attended the first TIPS Leadership Academy session at the TIPS Section Conference in Amelia Island, Fla. on Oct. 11-13. She represented the firm at the section conference along with Chris Kreiner, the Chair of the Litigation and Trial Practice Committee. Ashley Kutz Kelley is an alumna of the Leadership Academy and is a Vice-Chair on that committee.
Alvarez also will represent Womble Bond Dickinson at the ABA’s Mid-Year Meeting in Las Vegas, Annual Meeting in San Francisco, and the TIPS Section Annual Meeting in New York City in 2019.
Victoria Alvarez is an accomplished litigator who focuses her practice on products liability and mass tort actions. She has represented corporate clients in a number of suits including premises and retail liability, wrongful death, construction, and transportation.
