Womble Bond Dickinson announced today that Tara K. Gorman has joined its Real Estate practice as a partner in the D.C. office. Gorman focuses her practice on hospitality law and has 20 years of experience advising clients domestically and internationally on a broad spectrum of matters, including hotel acquisitions, financings, operations, and development.

Gorman maintains a diverse real estate practice, concentrating on commercial real estate acquisitions and sales; data center, office, and retail leasing; and telecommunication license agreements. She has represented a range of institutional investors with their real estate investments and governmental and quasi-governmental agencies concerning their real estate holdings. Gorman joins from Loeb & Loeb LLP in D.C where she was a partner in that firm’s Real Estate practice. 

The addition of Gorman follows a strong year of lateral hires in the D.C. office, including Andrew Beverina (Patent Prosecution & Litigation), Laura E. Hoag (Capital Markets), Katie Hyman (Trademarks, Copyrights & Transactions), Jeffrey B. McIntyre (Patent Prosecution & Litigation), Joseph J. Ricotta (Capital Markets), and Lee K. Van Voorhis (Business Litigation).

In addition to her practice, Gorman is a contributing writer to the textbook Hotel Law – Transactions, Management and Franchising and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on real estate and hospitality topics. She is also an adjunct professor at the American University Washington College of Law in the Hospitality and Tourism Law Program.

Gorman earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA and B.S. from the University of Maryland.
