Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Russ Ferguson moderated the panel discussion “Meet the Enforcers” at the American Bar Association’s Fourth Global White Collar Crime Institute. The session allowed attendees to learn about enforcement trends and priorities around the globe from prosecutors in those countries.

The speakers included:

  • Elizabeth Howe (UK), former Chief Crown Prosecutor for England and Wales, former General Counsel of the International Association of Prosecutors, and former President of the International Legal Assistance Consortium
  • Lisa H. Miller (U.S.), Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice
  • Maria Laura Roteta (Argentina), Federal Prosecutor, Prosecutorial Unit on Economic Crimes and Money Laundering

The ABA’s Fourth Global White Collar Crime Institute took place March 30-31 in Buenos Aires. The event also featured a “Meet the Judges” panel; a comparative look at sentencing in white-collar cases; an examination of money laundering, asset recovery, and crypto-currency; an examination of global cooperation and resolution considerations; and a review of global anti-corruption trends.
