Womble Bond Dickinson Senior Counsel Michael Clark will moderate a panel at the American Bar Association’s National Institute on Health Care Fraud, scheduled for May 3-5, 2023 in Chicago, IL. The panel will focus on the Department of Justice’s Opioid Enforcement Activities. 

The ABA’s National Institute on Health Care Fraud brings attorneys, prosecutors, investigators, and compliance professionals together to discuss legal and ethical issues in connection with the enforcement of health care fraud matters. The event draws 100-200 attendees on average. 

Michael Clark is an experienced litigator, having served as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials and handled numerous appeals. In addition, he represents clients in complex litigation matters, including civil False Claims Act cases and investigations, regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters, arbitration matters, and internal investigations. He has extensive experience representing physicians and other providers in administrative, civil and criminal cases. Clark is a past chair of the ABA Health Law Section, current co-chair of the ABA National False Claims Act Mock Trial Institute, Editor of Treatise: “Corporate Criminal Liability,” Thomson Reuters (Second Edition 2022—), as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Treatise: "Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law: Regulation of Research, Development, and Marketing," BNA Bloomberg Books and the ABA Health Law Section, Second Edition.
