Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Jimmy Kirkland will discuss the federal Endangered Species Act and how it can create risks for lenders at the 2024 Environmental Bankers Association Annual Conference.
Kirkland will be joined in the discussion by Truist Environmental Risk Officer/VP Peter Dollander. JLL SVP - Premier Client Services Dennis Firestone will moderate the discussion, which takes place Feb. 7 in San Diego, California with over 200 in attendance.
The Endangered Species Act is designed to protect and restore species that are at the greatest risk of extinction and promote recovery of the rarest species. Kirkland will provide a summary of the Act as well as review several case studies. Dollander then will discuss how the Act creates risks for lenders and how those risks are managed.
