Jeff Simpson also Represents Womble Bond Dickinson at TCIA Conference

NASHVILLE, TENN.—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Andrew Rennick was among the speakers at the Tennessee Captive Insurance Association Annual Conference . Jeff Simpson, the leader of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Captive Insurance Team, also attended the conference, which took place June 17-19 in Nashville.

Rennick participated in a discussion on “Captive Governance Best Practices”. In this session, the panelists discussed the challenges and strategies for implementing good corporate governance practices. Specific topics included the selection and training of board members, captive board operations and the role of key partners.

He was joined in the panel discussion by Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance Assistant Director, Captive Insurance Section Jennifer Stalvey and Risk Administrative Services, LLC Managing Director Belinda Fortman.

Andrew Rennick is an experienced attorney who guides captive insurance companies in corporate formation, insurance regulatory and day-to-day governance issues. He is a frequent author and speaker on captive insurance topics and is a faculty member for the International Center for Captive Insurance Education. Rennick also serves on the Regulatory Liaison Committee of the Delaware Captive Insurance Association.

Jeff Simpson leads Womble Bond Dickinson’s Captive Insurance Team. He focuses his practice on the formation, regulation and governance of captive insurance companies, and assists with all matters in the lifecycle of a captive. Jeff is a founder and director of the Delaware Captive Insurance Association and serves on its legislative and regulatory liaison committees, working closely with regulators. He also is a director of the Self-Insurance Institute of America and chairs its Enterprise Risk Captive Advocacy Working Group.
