The pandemic has made in-person closings difficult or impossible. Can legal documents be signed electronically? What is necessary to qualify as an electronic signature? Is there language I need to include in the agreement?

In this webinar, participants learned about the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, and the North Carolina Uniform Electronic Transactions Act. Finally, the webinar addressed best practices about agreement language, retention of documents, security, and authentication.
