Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Lee Van Voorhis co-presented “The Feds Strike Back: The Interagency Procurement Strike Force Ramps Up Efforts Against Government Contracts Collusion, Price-Fixing” to members of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) National Capital Region (NCR) Chapter.
The interagency Procurement Collusion Strike Force (PCSF) targets collusion amongst federal and state government contractors, with the potential for jail time, large fines, and debarment for both individuals and companies involved. Led by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, the PCSF has already obtained multiple guilty pleas and keeps expanding its team of partner agencies, anticipating multiple investigations for years to come. The Antitrust Division brought 25 criminal cases against 29 individual and 14 corporate defendants last year and has 146 open grand jury investigations — the most in 30 years.
