Womble Builds on Business Litigation Growth in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 5, 2025) – Womble Bond Dickinson announced today that Veronica Renzi has joined the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group as a partner in Washington, D.C. Veronica represents corporations and individuals in congressional investigations, white-collar criminal matters, government investigations, and high-stakes civil litigation. A former federal cyber prosecutor, she also counsels clients on social media, cybercrime, and emerging technology issues.
Throughout her career, Veronica has tried more than 70 cases to verdict in federal and local courts and led numerous investigations, including grand jury proceedings and corporate matters.

"Her background as a federal prosecutor brings a valuable perspective that complements our practice and strengthens our team."
Earlier in her career, Veronica served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where she held a senior role in the Cyber Crime Section. She has also held several leadership positions and currently serves as vice president of the Assistant United States Attorney’s Association for the District of Columbia.
An active member of the legal community, Veronica is an elected member of the Barristers Washington, D.C., she regularly hosts women’s networking events for women in law and business (“Women in White Collar and Beyond”,) and is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association.
Veronica earned her J.D., cum laude and Order of the Barristers, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, her M.A. from Fordham University, and her B.A. from the University of Dayton.
This addition reflects continued momentum for the Business Litigation Group, which has welcomed more than 30 attorneys in the past year.
