Congratulations to FedData, JPB Partners and R2i. These companies are three of the five finalists for the Association of Corporate Growth Maryland Chapter’s 2017 Deal of the Year Award.
Womble Carlyle worked on all three transactions, representing JPB Partners and R2i in their transactions and counseling a minority of the shareholders in connection with the FedData transaction.
The transactions are as follows:
- JPB Partners acquired a majority stake in South Moon Under, a clothing and accessories retailer with more than 20 locations. JPB focuses on equity investments in lower-middle market companies primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The company’s portfolio also includes the Mulligan’s Beach House Bar & Grill, Ticknors Men’s Clothier, ZIPS Dry Cleaners, St. Joseph’s Aspirin, Calgon, Wythe-Will Distributing and The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille brands.
- In September 2016, R2integrated (R2i) announced that Baird Capital had made a significant investment for a majority interest in the digital marketing agency. “Baird Capital was attracted to R2i’s consistent revenue and market growth rates as well as its ability to serve a fragmented market with deep expertise across key pillars of marketing,” per an official statement.
- The FedData recapitalization and sale. FedData provides technology solutions, cyber security and professional services to the US Intelligence Community, Defense Department and Fortune 500 customers.
Womble Carlyle teams led by Newt Fowler and John Gambaccini represented these clients in these (and other) successful transactions.
