BTI Consulting, Corporate Clients Rank Womble Carlyle as a Top Firm for Complex Commercial Litigation

The "BTI Litigation Outlook 2018: Changes, Trends and Opportunities for Law Firms" report places Womble Carlyle in the top 20 percent of firms in the area of Complex Commercial Litigation. BTI’s analysis draws on direct client feedback from 350 independent, in-depth interviews with corporate counsel at the world’s largest companies.
BTI also found that after five years of spending declines, corporate clients are increasing litigation spending for 2018. Corporate clients expect a 10 percent increase in litigation matters and are budgeting accordingly. In addition, litigation settlement rates reached a record high in 2017, topping out at nearly 61 percent.
Having said that, the BTI report also found that corporate clients are relying on a smaller number of outside law firms to handle their litigation.
