Womble Bond Dickinson’s Lisa Bondurant, Jeff Simpson to Speak at Kentucky Captive Insurance Conference

COVINGTON, KY.—Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Lisa Bondurant and Jeff Simpson will be speaking at Kentucky Captive Association 2019 Educational Conference . The conference takes place June 11-12 in Covington, Ky.

Bondurant and Simpson will discuss “Legal Issues Facing the Captive Industry”.

The Kentucky Captive Association was formed in May of 2004. Its purpose is to promote knowledge about captive insurance companies and champion a captive friendly environment in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The association is active with the legislature, provides educational resources and captive service provider networking and information.

Lisa Bondurant is a sought-after leader in life insurance as well as ERISA benefits litigation. Over her 30+ year career, Lisa has represented multinational insurance and financial services companies in state and federal courts across the country. Her clients include some of the nation’s largest insurance companies, and her experience includes liability and coverage disputes under a myriad of policies and products.

Jeff Simpson leads Womble Bond Dickinson’s Captive Insurance Team. He focuses his practice on the formation, regulation and governance of captive insurance companies, and assists with all matters in the lifecycle of a captive. Jeff is a founder and director of the Delaware Captive Insurance Association and serves on its legislative and regulatory liaison committees, working closely with regulators. He also is a director of the Self-Insurance Institute of America and chairs its Enterprise Risk Captive Advocacy Working Group.
