GREENSBORO, NC—The North Carolina Folk Festival has quickly become one of the Triad’s most eagerly anticipated annual events. Last year the festival drew more than 150,000 people to Greensboro. On Sept. 6-8, 2019, the festival once again brought live music, food and crafts to the downtown streets of Greensboro. Best of all, the live performances were free to the public.

But putting on such an ambitious event costs money—and that’s where local businesses, including Womble Bond Dickinson, are stepping up to help.

Womble Bond Dickinson was a sponsor of the NC Folk A’Fare, a fundraiser for the NC Folk Festival. The inaugural NC Folk A’Fare included more than 15 local restaurants representing a diverse range of cultures and culinary traditions. The event took place on Sept. 4.

Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jill White is President of ArtsGreensboro’s Board of Directors, the non-profit organization that helps organize and produce the NC Folk Festival.

“The North Carolina Folk Festival is one of my favorite weekends of the year. It brings our community together in a powerful way; there is truly something for everyone to enjoy! It is an excellent opportunity to showcase the many wonderful attributes of our city,” White said.

Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys and staff members joined the many thousands from all walks of life in attending and enjoying this year’s festival.
