Tyler Bridegan Named to Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 for 2026

Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Tyler Bridegan has been selected for the Houston Business Journal’s 2026 40 Under 40 class.
Each year, the Houston Business Journal selects 40 accomplished young professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators and community leaders who are making Houston a great place to live and work. The editors received more than 350 nominations for the 2026 class.
Bridegan is a Partner in Womble’s Privacy and Cybersecurity practice and the Digital Solutions team and teaches a privacy law course at the University of Houston Law Center. He previously served as Director of Privacy and Technology Enforcement at the Texas Attorney General’s Office and as Acting Legal Advisor to Commissioner Nathan Simington at the Federal Communications Commission.
Bridegan has led and defended hundreds of regulatory investigations, including those conducted by individual state attorneys general, multi-state attorney general coalitions, the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Communications Commission, and the New York Department of Financial Services. Bridegan’s experience spans the full gamut of federal and state consumer protection laws. He regularly counsels companies on state privacy and technology-related laws, as well as key federal statutes, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
He also serves in leadership roles for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, the Texas Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Federal Communications Bar Association.
