Womble Bond Dickinson Vice Chair Ken Van Winkle joined WBD UK colleagues at UKREiiF 2025, the UK's largest annual real estate, property, and infrastructure sectors event. They joined 16,000 professionals from national and local government, investors, developers, and other industry stakeholders.

Van Winkle and UK Partners Sarah White and Tom Willows took part in a panel discussion titled “Lessons from the U.S.: Leveraging the BTR Housing Market Model.” This session examined how experience and expertise from the U.S. market can be leveraged to enhance the UK housing sector. Panelists will discuss large-scale investment strategies, best practices in housing for rent, and the potential for cross-border collaboration. The discussion also covered the differences and similarities between the U.S. and UK markets.

In addition, the firm launched its new report, “Building Blocks: Unlocking the potential of UK Build-to-Rent”. The report looks at the current UK market and what can be learned from the U.S.
WBD attorneys and team members also networked with clients at a variety of events throughout the conference, including a drinks reception at Brasserie Blanc.

UKREiiF took place from May 20-22 in Leeds.
