BOSTON—A little wind and rain couldn’t stop Womble Bond Dickinson’s Boston office from getting outdoors for a good cause.

A team from the firm’s Boston office took part in the 4k Trail Run benefiting Thompson Island Outward Bound on September 26. The office also was a sponsor of the event.

Thompson Island Outward Bound brings educational programs to thousands of Boston public school students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and employment opportunities to high schoolers. Their mission is to lay the foundation for success inside and outside of the classroom with hands-on science lessons and social, leadership and service opportunities. The 4K Trail Run took place on Thompson Island’s fields, marshes and beaches, with an amazing view of the Boston skyline.

Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Gordon Penman serves on the Board of Trustees for the Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center.
