Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Nadia Aram will join a panel of industry leaders on June 25th at the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., to discuss Children’s Online Safety: Policy, Responsibility, and Industry Leadership.

Womble Bond Dickinson is partnering with BBB National Programs and the Center for Industry Self-Regulation to co-host the event.

The briefing will dive into the current policy landscape shaping children’s online privacy and safety, highlighting enforcement trends, emerging legislation, regulatory priorities, and the evolving responsibilities of platforms and digital services. Speakers will also examine how industry led initiatives—such as BBB National Programs’ Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) and its COPPA Safe Harbor framework—can bolster and complement government action. As the first FTC approved COPPA safe harbor, CARU will share insights from its rigorous audit and certification process and from its ongoing monitoring of children’s privacy practices.

Additional panelists include Dona Fraser, Senior Vice President, Privacy Initiatives, BBB National Programs; Charlie Germano, Counsel and Senior Technologist, BBB National Programs; Katie Goldstein, Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, SuperAwesome; and Chris Mufarriage, Director, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission.
