Womble Bond Dickinson partner Allen Gibson has been selected as a Panelist for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Forum on Construction Law 2026 Midwinter Conference, taking place February 4–7 in Dana Point, California. Celebrating its 50th year, the Forum is the premier gathering for exploring cutting-edge issues in construction.

Gibson will speak on the panel “Maximizing the Value of Expert Testimony in Mediation and Arbitration,” which will examine how parties can integrate expert analysis and testimony throughout the ADR process—from early case assessment and mediation to pre-hearing advocacy and final hearings. The discussion will highlight the evolving role of experts beyond the witness stand, including their contributions to negotiation strategies and the delivery of persuasive testimony. Panelists will also share best practices and common pitfalls in engaging, preparing, and presenting experts on both liability and damages.

With more than 40 years of experience in construction law, Gibson has advised owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties on the full spectrum of project challenges. He is also an active mediator and arbitrator, providing dispute resolution services to parties nationwide.
