Ian is a solicitor with the firm with a previous project management background in environmental consultancy and contracting specialising in contaminated land. As a trainee he has experience conducting legal research, analysing title documentation, and has assisted in drafting documentation for Development Consent Orders and Compulsory Acquisition for various clients.
Prior to starting with the firm, Ian has previously contributed to various engineering projects in both a technical and project management capacity, and is experienced in waste management, environmental permitting, environmental risk and planning issues as well as liaising with Local Authorities, statutory and non-statutory organisations, non-specialists and clients within both the public and private sector.
Ian has presented at both the Nordrocs and AquaConSoil conferences and is a current member of the UK Environmental Law Association
- Assisted in advising an off shore windfarm client with respect to land referencing exercise as part of development consent order application
- Project managing the remediation of the former manufacturing facility acquired for development associated with the proposed Hinkley Point C power station
- Project managing the remediation of a former Kodak Chemicals site as part of an environmental liability transfer deal and separate land sale
- Project managing the remediation of a former car manufacturing plant with large scale contamination issues.
