Helen has specialised in pensions law since qualification in 2001. She has a great deal of experience advising both trustee boards and the sponsoring employers of occupational pension schemes on a wide variety of issues, ranging from compliance with statutory requirements to complicated projects, such as pension scheme mergers.

Helen is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and has contributed towards prominent pension law publications, including Blackstone’s Guide to the Pensions Act 2004.


Examples of experience include advising:

  • A trustee board on a large buy-in of pensioner liabilities within a tight timescale
  • The trustee boards of two separate pension schemes with the same sponsoring employer in relation to the employer’s complex benefit redesign proposals
  • In relation to the management of exit debts on the cessation of participation of sponsoring employers in pension schemes.
