With ambitious climate, energy, and sustainability commitments emerging at the national and local levels in the United States, substantial investment will be required to meet this demand. Green banks are poised to meet this moment by leveraging public dollars to unlock large amounts of private sector capital in line with these commitments, delivering jobs in addition to environmental and economic benefits. To accelerate the impact already being made by state, city, and local green banks, the federal government is considering a national green bank. Green banking experts joined this conversation to discuss successes, challenges, and opportunities to build a future where all banking is green banking.
