WASHINGTON, DC—Womble Bond Dickinson DC Office Managing Partner Elizabeth Lee and attorney Lela Ames took part in the Greater Washington Board of Trade Executive Leadership Roundtable on Oct 8. Lee and Ames facilitated the active group discussion which focused on best practices and trends in succession planning.

Elizabeth Lee concentrates her practice in counseling life insurance companies, banks and other institutional lenders in all aspects of secured lending, including construction and permanent financing, mezzanine financing, real estate loan syndications and loan participations, with a special emphasis on transactions secured by commercial real estate of diverse project types, including mixed use, retail, commercial/office, multi-family, hotel/hospitality, and healthcare. She also counsels clients in connection with real property secured loan restructuring, workout, foreclosure and REO disposition. Elizabeth is the Managing Partner of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Washington, D.C. office.

Lela Ames advises clients and litigates cases in a wide variety of matters involving commercial real estate, financial services, manufacturing, contracts, and business torts. Ames counsels clients at all stages of litigation and practices before a variety of tribunals. Her diverse experience includes successful bench and jury trials, complex electronic discovery, depositions, motions hearings, mediations and arbitrations, emergency injunctive relief, and appeals.
