SILICON VALLEY—Womble Carlyle has bolstered its Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities practice with the addition of veteran attorney Jay Landrum.

Landrum guides Silicon Valley clients in business transactions, including entity formation, buy sell agreements, and financing transactions (venture, private and debt), as well as general corporate matters. His practice also includes contracts and licensing, particularly hardware and software licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, distribution agreements (such as dealer, distributor and manufacturer representative agreements), licensor/agent/licensee representation, and artist and author representation.

His prior legal experience includes serving as General Counsel for an NYSE traded corporation. Landrum also founded and led two companies—ALCiS Health, Inc., a health products company, and iaccept.com, an Internet-based software as service (SAAS) solutions business.

“Jay is a key addition, as we continue to build our Silicon Valley Corporate & Securities practice,” said Womble Carlyle Silicon Valley Office Managing Partner Mike Gencarella. “We want our tech industry clients to know that we can help them with their transactions and governance matters, in addition to assisting them with their IP and patent work.”

“Jay is an outstanding addition to our team, and he is supported by a Corporate & Securities practice that includes more than 60 attorneys,” said Keith Mendelson, Leader of Womble Carlyle’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. “We look forward to helping him provide outstanding service to his clients.”
