On April 14, 2026, Kristina Moore moderated a timely and high-impact panel, Navigating Congressional Investigations: What Energy Companies Need to Know, at the Energy Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Kristina, a former Congressional Investigator herself, was joined by an exceptional group of panelists offering rare insight from both Capitol Hill and the private sector: Jessica L. Donlon, General Counsel to the Majority Staff of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce; Arya Hariharan, Chief Counsel for Oversight with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee under Ranking Member Dick Durbin; and Machalagh Carr, Founder and CEO of Quell Strategies and former Chief of Staff to Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Together, the panel explored practical strategies and emerging risks for energy companies facing congressional scrutiny.

The conference also featured remarks from senior federal officials, including U.S. Department of Energy General Counsel Jonathan Brightbill and FERC Chairman Laura Swett. As EBA’s flagship event, the Annual Meeting brought together hundreds of industry leaders—ranging from in-house counsel and energy executives to state and federal officials—for candid discussion on the most pressing legal and policy issues shaping the energy sector.
