Womble Bond Dickinson Atlanta Office, Attorney Vonnetta Benjamin, Supporting Battle for the Brain to Benefit Alzheimer’s Research

ATLANTA—Nearly six million Americans are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease—and that number is expected to rise to 15 million by 2050, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. Many millions more family members and caregivers struggle to help loved ones dealing with Alzheimer’s.

Womble Bond Dickinson’s Atlanta office is proud to be part of this important fight. The firm is a sponsor of the Battle for the Brain , a fundraising event benefiting Emory University’s Alzheimer’s Goizueta Disease Research Center, and Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Vonnetta Benjamin is serving as 2019 Logistics Chair of Battle for the Brain.

In conjunction with the firm’s sponsorship, the Atlanta office hosted a recent lunch and learn event with guest speaker Dr. Lary Walker, an Associate Professor of Neurology and Research Professor at Emory’s Yerkes National Primate Research Center. Dr. Walker updated attendees on current research regarding Alzheimer’s and exciting, positive developments on the horizon.

The Jan. 17 Battle for the Brain event takes place at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta. It includes a lip sync competition featuring performances by Delta, Morgan Stanley, the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, artist Steve Penley and more. Click here to purchase tickets.
