With nearly three decades of experience in tax and cross-border transactions and a Big Four accounting background, Phyllis Guillory is uniquely equipped to advise clients on complex tax issues, both at home and abroad. She has helped numerous public and private business entities, trusts, and individuals in a variety of industries, particularly those in the global energy and natural resources sector, navigate the complex tax laws of more than 50 countries.
In addition to counseling clients on launching international businesses, Phyllis advises on local and overseas tax effects, cross-border transactions, personnel issues, choice of business entity, and reorganization of business structures to minimize tax liability. She works with domestic and non-U.S. businesses and investors, assisting them with the peculiarities of the U.S. tax system. Phyllis also works with individuals on a wide range of international investment and pre-immigration tax planning strategies to minimize their future income, estate, and gift tax obligations.
