Chip White has been litigating matters for his clients for nearly twenty years. Chip’s primary focus is on financial services litigation. He represents financial institutions, including banks, finance companies, brokers, servicers, and investors. Chip has litigated hundreds of matters involving claims under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices (UDAP) laws. Additionally, Chip has litigated claims involving foreclosure, repossession, title, usury, breach of contract, negligence, discrimination, and emotional distress. His background includes motion practice, appearances in state and federal courts, arbitration and trial preparation, indemnity issues, appeals, settlement negotiations, and case management.
Prior to joining the firm, Chip served as head of litigation for a national consumer finance company with 400,000 customers across all 50 states and $5 billion in assets under management. Before going in-house, Chip clerked at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and was a litigation associate in Orange County, California.
