Brooke Routt is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, where she advises clients on a broad range of commercial real estate and corporate transactions. Her practice is focused on representing developers, investors, lenders, and operators in complex transactions across the lifecycle of real estate assets. Brooke’s real estate experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development of a wide variety of asset classes, including retail centers, restaurants, healthcare facilities, multifamily housing, hospitality projects, and senior living communities. She regularly counsels both borrowers and lenders in connection with real estate financings and has experience in structuring and closing transactions involving traditional and affordable housing components, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) financings.

In addition to her real estate practice, Brooke advises clients on corporate matters, including entity formation and structuring, governance, and mergers and acquisitions, allowing her to provide integrated counsel for real estate-driven business strategies. Her experience includes:

  • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and other transaction-related agreements
  • Managing all aspects of real estate transactions, from due diligence and title review through closing
  • Identifying and resolving title, survey, and other diligence-related issues in connection with acquisitions and financings
  • Representing borrowers and lenders in connection with loan origination, restructuring, and closing
  • Drafting and negotiating entity formation documents, operating agreements, and corporate transaction documents, including those related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Supporting affordable housing transactions, including multiple LIHTC-financed developments

Brooke is actively involved in the local legal and professional community. She serves on the Arizona Public Media (AZPM) Community Advisory Board, is the co-chair of the Programs Committee for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Tucson and is member of the Pima County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Outside of her practice, Brooke enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Tyler, and dogs, Duke and Charlie.

  • Represents national and regional landlords and tenants in all aspects of commercial leasing, including retail, office and industrial transactions, from initial negotiation through execution and ongoing asset management
  • Represents a publicly traded retail REIT in connection with nationwide leasing matters, including the negotiation of anchor, junior anchor, and shop space leases across a diverse retail portfolio
  • Represents buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of a broad range of asset classes, including multifamily communities, retail shopping centers, senior living facilities, and land for development
  • Advises borrowers and lenders in connection with real estate financings, including drafting and negotiating loan documents and managing closing processes
  • Conducts and oversees due diligence for complex transactions, including title and survey review and resolution of development and title-related issues
