Sydney Smith Joins Leadership Raleigh Class 54

Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Sydney Smith has been accepted into Leadership Raleigh Class 54, a highly competitive, invitation-only leadership training program run by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.

Smith, a trusts and estates attorney in Womble’s Raleigh office, advises individuals, families, and businesses on various estate and tax planning matters and assists fiduciaries with the administration of estates and trusts.

Community involvement also is a big part of her professional life. Smith serves on the board of the Wake County Estate Planning Council, leading program planning and membership outreach efforts with that organization. She has also made a meaningful impact on the community by serving as a mentor to law students in the McIntyre-Whichard Legal Fellows program, providing pro bono legal services to clients in need, and co-leading the Raleigh office’s 2026 efforts for the North Carolina Legal Feeding Frenzy.

Leadership Raleigh connects a diverse network of community leaders, providing enhanced leadership skills and knowledge of current issues, to foster meaningful and lasting engagement. Participants in the ten-month program engage with local business executives, community leaders, and elected officials; learn about the greater Raleigh community through unique tours and behind-the-scenes experiences; and participate in small group projects that explore critical community issues.
